Percy Jackson - Present

In the spring of 2009, Lerman was cast in the lead role of Percy Jackson in the film Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, based on the book by Rick Riordan.[50] The movie was filmed in 2009 in Vancouver and was released in February 2010. Lerman has stated that he was not familiar with the book series when he received the script.[12] Regarding the similarities between Lerman's character and Harry Potter, Lerman told an interviewer: "Honestly, my character doesn't have much in common with Harry Potter besides the fact that he's an unlikely hero who's thrown into a huge situation".[8] Lerman is signed to appear in two more Percy Jackson films, and has stated that he would like to star in adaptations of all five books in the series (the second film is scheduled for release in March 2013).[12][51][52] Also in 2010, Lerman appeared in "Change the Odds", a public service announcement video for the Stand Up to Cancer charity; the video also featured Dakota Fanning, Zac Efron, Andrew Garfield, and other actors.[53]
Lerman is represented by the Creative Artists Agency.[54] During his teenage years, Lerman and his family had viewed his acting work as just a "hobby" before college; his parents had only become more comfortable with acting as a career in 2010.[4]
Lerman played d'Artagnan in director Paul W. S. Anderson's 3D film version of The Three Musketeers, which was filmed from August 2010 to November 2010, and was released in the U.S. on October 21, 2011.[55] Lerman was cast in the role without having to audition.[56] He trained in sword fighting for three months and wore hair extensions to portray d'Artagnan, whom he has described as "the most different character to me that I've ever played".[16][57] The film received negative reviews, with Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune writing that "Lerman already has done solid work... but he's a blank slate here".[58][59]
Lerman will next star in a film adaptation of Stephen Chbosky's novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower, playing the lead role, Charlie; filming began in May 2011 and ended later that summer.[60][61][62] Lerman has described the film as a "life epic", and stated that he had been "torturing [himself] for... a few months in order to get inside Charlie's head".[16]
Lerman has signed on to star in The Only Living Boy in New York, an independent film written by Allan Loeb and to be directed by Seth Gordon; the story is a coming-of-age drama in which Lerman's character's father has an affair.[63] As of October 2011, a filming start date has not been set.[4]

Logan in Meet bill

The story revolves around Bill (Aaron Eckhart), an overweight, middle-aged man dissatisfied with himself and his life. He works at his father-in-law, Mr. Jacoby's (Holmes Osborne) bank. But his job is meaningless with a made up title, and his in-laws don't take him seriously, especially his brother-in-law. Jacoby is a pillar in the community and is considering a mayoral run. Bill and Jess, his wife (Elizabeth Banks) live in a house provided by her father and lead a comfortable lifestyle provided by him. Bill is trying to purchase a doughnut franchise with the Whitmans (Jason Sudeikis & Kristin Wiig), a friendly married couple who own the franchise business. Bill's interest in purchasing a franchise is an attempt to wean himself and his wife off Jacoby's finances. At a public donation sponsored by his in-laws, Bill first meets "the Kid" (Logan Lerman), a spunky and easygoing teenager, who is running from the school principal. In the hallway, after the principal suggests a school mentoring program, he sees his wife talking with Chip Johnson (Timothy Olyphant), the local, pompous newscaster. Bill begins to get mildly suspicious, and meanwhile begins to "mentor" the Kid. Before a hunting trip with his in-laws and their pupils, he places a hidden camera in his and his wife's bedroom, and upon arrival discovers that his wife is having an affair with Chip. In a rage, he shows her the camera, and the two have an argument, bringing Jess to go to Chip and tell him about the tape, and Bill ends up beating him up. An online video later circulates of the tape and is passed around the staff at the bank, furthering Bill and Jess' embarrassment, particularly when Jess makes some offensive comments to Chip about Bill, their sex life and his penis size. Jess fears the video could ruin her father's chances for mayor and tries to conceal the news of her affair and the video from him.

Logan Lerman and Emma Watson in The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Harry Potter's Emma Watson and Percy Jackson's Logan Lerman are considering starring roles in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, based on the 1999 book by Stephen Chbosky. Variety says Chbosky adapted his own book and will be directing the feature film. Chbosky's never directed a feature film before, but did adapt Rent for the big screen and was a writer on the now-cancelled TV series, Jericho.

In The Perks of Being a Wallflower, high school student Charlie writes a series of letters to an unnamed person chronicling his life as he experiences all the trials and tribulations of being a teenager. Lianne Halfon, John Malkovich and Russell Smith are producing. There's no word yet on when production is expected to begin.

Watson has the final two films of the Harry Potter series set to be released in November 2010 and July 2011 and then she'll be completely finished with playing the character she'll forever be most associated with: Hermione Granger. Logan Lerman recently signed up for Paul W S Anderson's 3-D The Three Musketeers set up at Summit Entertainment.
